Searching for Gold in Others

A little psychological trick for conversations. When you’re speaking to someone try to look for the one question that will set them off.

People have things they want to speak about, and people love to have others listen to their ideas. Listening to someone like they have something important to tell you can help you have more productive and meaningful conversations.

You can play a little game with them without them knowing it. It’s like digging for gold, searing for treasure… You can listen to someone’s tone, body language and choice of words to help lead you to their insight. People often contain wisdom that they don’t even know is wisdom because they might think of it as common knowledge.

Try to read the map that is the person in front of you, and try to find the treasure. Look for the question that is the key to unlocking the chest full of gold.

Hustle it up!
